Our 6-week Puppy Obedience Course is designed to give puppies the best possible start in life while supporting owners with clear, practical guidance in a calm and welcoming environment.
The course consists of 6 x 1-hour group classes, held in a hired indoor hall in Southend-on-Sea. Classes are limited to a maximum of six puppies, allowing for individual attention while still benefiting from safe, controlled social learning.
Using kind, reward-based, science-led training methods, the course focuses on building strong foundations that support long-term behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Training is age-appropriate, confidence-building, and tailored to both puppies and their owners.
Across the six weeks, the course covers:
Socialisation and confidence building
Name recognition and focus
Recall foundations
Basic obedience, including sit, down, and calm behaviour
Loose lead walking basics
Handling, grooming, and vet-prep exercises
Throughout the course, you’ll receive ongoing guidance, practical training advice, and support on how to apply skills at home and in real-life situations. The aim is not just obedience, but to help you build a positive, trusting relationship with your puppy.
This course is suitable for young puppies and is ideal for owners looking for a structured, supportive, and welfare-focused introduction to training.
