Children & Young People Puppy Training Course

£160.00

Bi-Weekly | 8 Weeks | 1-Hour Sessions

Our Children & Young People Puppy Training Course is a fun, structured programme designed to help young handlers build confidence and develop a positive, respectful relationship with their puppy.

Based on our adult course, this programme runs bi-weekly over 8 weeks, giving puppies and children time to practise skills and settle between sessions. Sessions are 1 hour long and delivered in small, carefully managed groups to ensure every family gets the support they need.

To keep the environment calm, safe, and focused:

  • Each course is limited to a maximum of 4 puppies

  • Each puppy may be handled by up to 2 children

  • A responsible adult must attend and remain present for the full duration of every session

Throughout the course, participants will learn:

  • Core puppy skills including sit, down, recall and loose lead walking

  • How puppies learn and why positive reinforcement works

  • Safe handling and calm, appropriate interactions

  • Understanding puppy body language and emotional cues

  • How to continue training at home in a fun, age-appropriate way

Classes are interactive, supportive, and adapted to suit different ages and learning styles, with plenty of guidance and encouragement. While adults remain present to support safety and learning, the focus is on empowering children and young people to take an active role in their puppy’s training.

This course is ideal for families who want to:

  • Safely involve children in puppy training

  • Build confidence, patience, and responsibility in young handlers

  • Create strong foundations for a well-mannered family dog

By the end of the 8 weeks, children will have gained valuable life skills alongside a puppy who’s had the very best start.
